Travel Insurance Saves the day

cruise.jpgThe story that follows is true testament for the need for travel insurance when traveling to foreign lands. A couple from the UK were on a trip to Mexico and they were happily enjoying their cruise. As they got there they went on their scheduled tours and visits when all of a sudden the husband began to feel worn out and opted to stay (suspecting acting heart problems which he is known to suffer from) and let her wife go to visit ruins somewhere in the jungles to the realm of the Maya.

Upon returning, the wife finds out that his husband has been taken ashore from the ship due to an emergency operation that was needed to get a burst appendix out. The ship was to leave in an hour and everything was in disarray, gladly the couple shelled out an extra $150 for travel insurance which really made all the difference. The Insurance took care of all the medical bills and accommodation costs. As well as reimbursing them for all the lost travel days which was to last a few more days. Everything thanks to medical insurance, from the hospital, to the accommodations, transmittal of all medical documents and bills back home, all taken care of by the Insurance company. They even sent an interpreter who handled all communication transactions for the couple. Such is the need for true value travel insurance which is to prepare for the unexpected which you never know would be coming. Whether flying, traveling by road or going on a cruise for your vacation, travel insurance is a must so you can rest easy on your trip.
