Due to rising incidents of Identity theft not only at home but also abroad, insurance companies have created custom packages as add-on’s to cover your important travel documents. These documents (passports, plane tickets, etc.) have accompanying costs if you were to loose them and obtain replacements. Travel document coverage ensures that you get the needed funds for replacement costs such as fare, shipping and other costs associated with the replacement of these documents. Remember though that loss of other valuables such as credit cards (which may provide some insurance against results of identity theft in a foreign country)do offer some coverage but do not rely on your company to take action as soon as you report your card lost. Take important access numbers which will allow you to get in touch with your card companies in such events. Some even provide nifty listings in small cards for convenience just in case.
