Traveling on a Cruise

rescue.jpgMany people think of traveling on cruises as a way of getting away from the abnormally cold weather many are experiencing this time of year. Their idea of medical issues on boat trips are sunburns and hangovers from the long days in the sun and nights at the bars. These are common misconceptions that do not take into consideration the sudden shift in weather which can trigger pulmonary problems, strokes, diarrhea, sprained knees or ankles and even heart attacks due to weather and the many other activities offered on board cruise ships are more common than you think. Many opt to take just about any travel insurance they can find without getting intimate with the details which can leave them high and dry with insufficient coverage. Be sure to scrutinize and study your travel insurance for they may mean the difference between life and death, turning your thousand dollar cruise into a traveler’s nightmare.
