UK travel industry news, studies are showing that UK travelers prefer cash than traveler’s checks when they go on vacation and Insurance firms are delighted. Cash is better and easier to use for though credit cards have greatly improved their systems, nothing beats good old hard currency. Plastic or credit cards represent only a third of all traveler purchases and less for Traveler’s checks which have decreased in popularity by as much as 12%. The strong standing of the British Pound has bolstered the currency so much UK travelers need not bother to get them changed as they leave for abroad, rather exchanging them once they get there yet eliminating another task that used to be dealt with when traveling.
